Thread: Latex problem with dot multiplying two numbers

When I try to dot multiply two numbers, say 2\cdot3 which is 2 times 3, I get an error message (of course my lead is math and my end is /math enclosed within the brackets). What else do I need to do?

make sure there is a space between \cdot and the 3 maybe?

Use a space.
[tex]2\cdot 3[/tex] gives .
