# Exponetial help

Exponetial help
Hello, im not sure how to raise two variables for one function. For example, x^(yz)

I try to do this in latex by using \$\displaystyle x^(yz) \$ but that doesn't work. I tried playing with this several other ways but cant figure it out. If someone can tell me how to do this, and also how to do this with three or more varables, then it would be appreciated. Thanks!

\$\displaystyle x^{yz}\$

You must always include an associative operator (just like math).

EG

\$\displaystyle x^{xy}\$

Is

[tex]x^{xy}[/tex]

Where the braces are the associative operator.

Cool,I actually checked out the little pdf tutorial which was neat, but still couldnt figure out how to correct my issue.
