You have to use the American spelling of color ...... color NOT colour.

This is red gives This is red.

3. I didn't write the code... I just changed the color from the top... But i wanted to write in red into Latex so i suppose i can't because in normal text i obviously can
Thanks

$${\color{red}x^2 + 1}$$ gives ${\color{red}x^2 + 1}$

Also
For example red box but black formula

$${\color{red}\boxed{{color{black}\sin^2\theta = \frac{1-\cos 2\theta}{2}}}}$$

gives ${\color{red}\boxed{{\color{black}\sin^2\theta = \frac{1-\cos 2\theta}{2}}}}$
