1. ## Finding the center of a circle on a sphere

Hi,

My problem...
I have a circle defined by 3 points on the surface of a sphere. I know the latitude and longitude of each of the 3 points and I'm trying to find the latitude and longitude of the center of the circumscribed circle.

What's the easiest way to go about doing this ?
Many thanks in advance.

I think your choice of language has caused some confusion. Do you mean that you wish to find the location of the center of the sphere?

Apologies for the confusion.
No, I am not looking for the center of the sphere, I am trying to find the location of the center of the circle on the surface of the sphere. ie the point on the sphere where the spherical distance to each of the 3 points is equal.

as in the attached diagram...
