    Geometry Problem

    Prove that the perpendicular drawn from the point on the join of and divides it in the ratio of . I got its answer . I think there is some problem in calculation.So please show your solution with calculation. Thanks a lot.

    I agree with you. The perpendicular meets the line from (2,–1) to (6,5) at the point \bigl(\tfrac{46}{13},\tfrac{17}{13}\bigr), which divides the line segment in the ratio 5:8.
