    square


    If the length of the side of the square is 21, then find the area of the shaded region? i didnt know how to proceed can any one help .

    Shaded Area = (Entire Square) - (2 Triangles)

    Where x = the distance from any corner vertex to where the shaded region finishes then

    Shaded Area = 21^2 - (21-x )^2

    The is no way to proceed.This is an ill-defined problem.
    We are not given enough information to begin any work on this.

    It is ill-defined like many of the other problems that have been posted from that other website (the site actually warns that some of the questions might be ill-posed).
