Ok, I got done with one page thanks to some of you guys, but it's due tommorow. I don't know what to do.

Find the area of an equilateral triangle with the sides 5 x sqrt(2) and another triangle with the sides (2x-1).

Also can someone if I did this right.

An area of a square with the sides 3 x sqrt(5) and I got 45 mm ^2.

Hello Blayde,

1. if the sides of the square are measured in mm then your result is correct.

2. I've demonstrated how to calculate the area of an equilateral triangle in the previous post. Use the given formula:

$\displaystyle A=\frac{1}{4}a^2 \sqrt{3}$

$\displaystyle A=\frac{1}{4}(5 \sqrt{2})^2 \sqrt{3}=\frac{1}{4} \cdot 50 \sqrt{3}=\frac{25}{2} \sqrt{3}$
$\displaystyle A=\frac{1}{4}(2x-1)^2 \sqrt{3}=\frac{4x^2-4x+1}{4} \sqrt{3}$
