    Capacity of a cube

    Find in litres the capacity of a cubical tin of edge 10dm.

    This is the same as finding the volume if we can assume that the walls of the cube are of negligible thickness:
    Also note that 1L = 1dm^3

    V = a^3 = 10^3 = 1000 \text{ dm }^3 = 1000 \text { L }
