Thread: Algebra in geometry problem...help much appreciated

using a constant flow of water, it usually takes three hours to fill the trough. However it now has a hole in it. The trough is now losing water at a rate of one litre every minute.

How long will it take to fill the trough from empty.
Give your answer in Hours, minutes, seconds.

( the volume of the trough is 2.646 M3 which is 2646 litres)

2646 liters divided by 180 minutes =afill rate of 14.7 lpm.a 1 liter pm leak means that the leak fill rate is 13.7 lpm. Repeat the first step to get the fill rare in minutes.If ques converttion wants hours
