Exclamation Coordinate Geometry - Finding Angle

    Find the angle that the line x + 7y + 23 = 0 makes with the positive x axis.

The answer says 172 degrees but no matter what I do, I seem to only get 98 degrees.

Could someone please show me how to do the question?

    Hi xwathbringerx,

Find the slope. Take arctan(slope) and add 180 degrees.
