[SOLVED] Angle question that makes no sense to me.

x=9, but I don't know how to get to 9. I've tried many different methods, but my textbook doesn't quite explain.

Since AL bisects <KAT, I think m<1 and m<2 are congruent, but the question states they are different. I don't know what m<3 is.

    Thanks in advance!

Edit: Sorry about the picture being hard to read.

Edit: Sorry about the giant picture size.
you never said what angles 1 and 2 are. i suppose angles KAL and LAT respectively? if so, yes, they are congruent, since AL is a bisector. (the question never states they are different. read carefully!) in which case we have

    5x - 12 = 3x + 6

    which yields x = 9

Thanks! It was simple all along.

I uploaded a new picture with the angles defined but you got it anyway.

My question's been answered everyone, you can all go home.
