# Math Help - Due Tommor. area ratio

1. ## Due Tommor. area ratio

If the vericies of square A are the midpoints of the efge if square B then waht is the ration of the are of square A to square B?

2. Sorry I don't have time to do the problem out right now, but you should draw a picture and use the triangles in the corners of the big square. The length of the sides of those triangles. And try to edit your posts for spelling errors next time, it's very hard to understand the question.

3. ## this is late

Try finding the ratio yourself (you can move the top left corner to change the size of the square)

I can't wait till mathguru finishes the program completely!!!

See Diagram. If the sides of square B are L the sides of square A are

(L/2)*sqrt(2) = L/sqrt(2).

So the two areas are L^2 and L^2/2, so the smaller square has half the
area of the larger.
