    Sphere and cone

    Hello helloying -

    The distance from the centre of the sphere to the base of the cone = radius of sphere = 3 cm.

    So the distance of the centre of the sphere to the vertex of the cone = 9 - 3 = 6 cm. So

    \sin x = \frac{3}{6}

    where
    x is half of angle AVB.

    Can you do it now?
