    Find Height and Base

    The base of a triangle is 9cm greater than the height. The area is 56cm squared. Find the height and the base.

    I came up with this equation:

    56 = (1/2) (x + 5) (x)

    Is this correct so far?

    Not quite correct. It should be :
    56 = (1/2) (x + 9) (x)

    Hope it helps.
