An artist wants her painting to be in the shape of a Golden rectangle. If the length of the painting is 36 inches, then what should be the width?

Are you familiar with the Golden Ratio?.

There is lots if one does a google search.

The ratio is length to width of $\frac{\sqrt{5}+1}{2}:1$

This is an interesting thing to investigate. Do a search.

It is also related to the Fibonacci numbers.

That is $\lim_{n\to \infty}\frac{f_{n+1}}{f_{n}}=\text{golden ratio}$
