A water irrigation arm 500 meters long rotates around a pivot P once every day. How far does the tip of the arm travel in one minute? to the nearest minute.



so this is how I had solved it

s=1/2 0r^2
- 1/2 *2Pi/1440*500^2

i chose 2Pi/1440 because that is how many minutes are in a day. the answer that I get is 5140cm any help would be nice thank you

Your angle is correct but you should recalculate s using the correct formula.
