Math Help - [SOLVED] Area?

    Thumbs down [SOLVED] Area?

    Thanks for the help...


    Math definatily isn't my thing..

    I have to find the area of the object, but I'm not sure what to
    do with the one .9 right before the round part..




    [B]To solve do I just go:

    9+9+9=27

    And use that anwser?[B]

    Its not .9, The . is the center of the circle.

    Well break into a square of side 3, then another square of side 9, then finally a half circle of diameter 9.

    So \text{ Total area } = 3^2 + 9^2 + \frac12 \pi \left( \frac92\right)^2
