    [SOLVED] Straight edge and compass

    Fun little problem. Suppose you are given a line segment of length 1. How do you construct a line segment of length sqrt(7) using a straight edge and compass?

    Construct the triangle with sides 1, 1 and hypothenuse root 2 first. Do you follow from there?
