Bucky Ball

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this sort of question so if it is in the wrong place I apologise.

Now, My name is Dan and I am looking for some help on making a Polystyrene bucky ball.

We have 12 Pentagons and 20 Hexagons laid out in the shape in the picture I have attached, the thickness of these shapes are 1 inch. I need to know that angle that all the edges should be for it to fit together with no gaps.

I know nothing about maths so please explain as simeple as you can.

I would really appreciate any help. Thank you.

Does it mean that the length of side of every hexagon and pentagon is 1inch?

Both the side length and the actual thickness is unimportant for this problem,
other than that both are non-zero, and the thickness is small compared to the length of a side.
