# Math Help - Equal Angles Problem

1. ## Equal Angles Problem

Hi all, I'm working through an old text book and have gotten stuck on the following problem:

Exercise: Through a given point to draw a line making equal angles with the arms of a given angle.

Any help (hints) and a solution would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Good grief. That is not only an old text it is archaic.
Are you to construct ? an line through a given point making angles of equal measure with the rays of the angle.
Is the given point in the interior of the angle?
Can you clarify the question?

3. This is really a Post Script
In spite of the above response this will work
Assume that the given point, $P$, is suitably positioned in the plane of the angle.
Bisect the given angle calling that ray $\alpha$.
Now construct a perpendicular to $\alpha$ that contains $P$.
That should do it. WHY?

Dear Moo
This individual is clearly what was once called a troll.
The common logic is” DO NOT FEED a TROLL.
This individual is so minimal it is not worth worrying about.
