Surface Area Calculations For Vessel Heads

    Hi,

I was wondering if someone could provide surface area calculations for the following vessel heads?

    Convex Head
    Dish Head
    Elliptical Head
    Hemispherical Head

You'll have to be substantially more descriptive on the first two. Are those description 100% standard? Is the Knuckle radius always the same?

Are we to assume the rest of the tank is simply right-cylindrical?

How's your integral calculus of multiple dimensions? That's what you'll need.

On the other hand, people have been painting pressure tanks for years. Are you sure these formulae are not well known? At least useful approximations?

Yes they are standard and assume the knuckle radius will be the same.

    Yes, the body is cylindrical

I have not performed calculus since college so I don't remember much of it.

I tried researching for a useful approximation formula but I did not find much
