Hi guys

I'm trying to find the point of intersection between circle and one of the sides of a rectangle in order to find the value of y.
can someone pes tell me what the simplest solution is to this problem is given the available information?

Use the Pythagorean theorem. Your "dash-dotted" line is both a radius of the circle, so has length 10, and the hypotenuse of a right triangle with one leg of length 5. Taking "y" to be the height of the other leg, $y^2+ 5^2= 10^2$.
