I need to know the area of a porsche boxter for a project im doing. My maths is appalling, ive searched google to find out how to measure the area of 3D shapes but get no answers, can only find information on 2D shapes.
Basically I need to know the area of the body kit.
Heres the measurements:
Length 4,329 mm
Width 1,801 mm
Height 1,292 mm
Can some one point me in the right direction on how this can be achived? Are they the right measurements I need to work out the area of the body kit?

Yes I mean the surface area (i think). What im trying to do is work out how many advertisements would fit on a porsche boxter.
Say if an advertisement is 5x5cm how many would fit on the body kit, excluding windows and light fittings.
The measurments in the first post are from porsche.com and are for the Boxster S Sport, im not sure if they have taken into consideration the curves, etc...
if the measurements account for the curves, the basic surface area would be: SA = 2lw + 2lh + 2wh - (area of windows etc)
where l - length, w - width, h - height.
couldn't you get your hands on a porsche, to do the measurements somewhat empirically?
