    how to draw in 3D

how do I draw in 3D a parabolic cylinder y^2 = 8x in the first octant bounded by the planes y = 4 and z = 6? Also, what is the name of the topic that has these things such as hyperbolic paraboloids, and other 3d forms, etc I dont know how to look for it.. Also how do I convert this into an explicitly defined function(e.g. Z = f(x,y) ) so that I can graph this on my math software (MathGV).

Draw parabol y^2=8x draw line y=4. Trasform it into plane Oxy Draw line rectangular to Ox axis length 8 and in its second end draw that same parabol

So I guess the shape is correct but only the orientation is wrong? my coordinate system is as follows:
rightwards is positive Y. leftwards is negative Y, upwards is positive Z, downwards is positive Z, Moving towards me is positive X, and moving away from me is negative X.
