can anyone explain this property with a diagram?
Parallelograms that lie on the same base and between the same parallel lines are equal in area.

The base length is given to be the same. Because they are between the same parallel lines the height is the same.

The area of the parallelogram of Base*Height and so clearly the areas are the same.

    Re: parallelogram property

You can always cut off a triangle from the end of each parallelogram and move it to the other side to turn it into a rectangle. You will see that by doing this with any two parallelograms between the same parallel lines will give identical rectangles, and thus have to have identical areas.
