    Need help with rectangle verbage

I am working on a patent for a ipad case. It has 4 attachment points in each corner of what is essentially a rectangle. I am trying to describe the different ways to attach the strap to the attachment points and right now I am trying to say that the strap will attach at the two attachment points which essentially make up the width (the shorter length) of the rectangle. Attached is a picture of the attachment I am trying to describe.

Is there a one word description of these two points?

And what would be the description if I am trying to attach the strap to the length (the longer side) of the rectangle?

Example, if I was to attach the strap to the two attachment points opposite of each other, I say "adjustable strap attached in the diagonal configuration."

Thanks for any help in advance,

    Greg
