A chord related question
A chord of a circle of radius 14 cm makes a right angle at the centre .The area of the minor segment of the circle is

a) 154

b) 252

c) 56

d) 98

What you posted does not make sense.

The yellow area is the area of the minor segment of the circle.

I believe the student was trying to say that the central angle of the cord is 90 degrees and he asks for area of the small sector not segment...

wich is of course (1/4 )π(14)^2 =154...

we have to be more patient with people...... whose English is not the native language.....................
