Conic word problem
Sorry, the title isn't related to my actual question, I solved that one myself but I thought I would put my other one here instead of making a new thread.

Hi,

I have a word problem that I'm unsure of how to proceed on. Here it is word for word:

"The elliptical sign of the Cosmos resturant measures 4m in length and 2m in height. The ownder wants to make attachments to hold the sign above the two letters "O". Knowing that the height of the sign at the level of the two letters "O" is 1.6m, find the distance that seperates the two attachements."

So right away I think it's safe to say that a = 2 and b = 1, and there c = the square root of 3. I'm not sure how to use the 1.6m bit of info. Do you think the answer might be 2c?
