How to Solve... A = 1/2(9√3)(108) ...?
I've been trying to figure out how to solve this problem for awhile, but can't figure it out. I don't know how to handle the Radical. I have the answer to th eproblem, but don't know how to solve it.

A = 1/2(9√3)(108)

Thank you

A = 1/2(9√3)(108)

As written it is $A=\frac{1}{2}(9\sqrt{3})(108)$.

But I don't think that is what you mean. Is it?

Well, what's the process to get to the answer? I don't know what the process is...I would know how to solve it if there wasn't a radical

Well if that is what is
$A=\frac{1}{2}(9\sqrt{3})(108)={486\sqrt{3}$.

That is as simple as it gets,

The Answer Key to my Textbook is telling me the answer is "841.8"

Well the answer key is close to correct
${486\sqrt{3}=841.776692478474$.

That is just fifteen decimal places.
You see $\sqrt{3}$ is irrational, so we can never get an exact answer in decimal form.

in order to turn 486√3 into 841, what did you multiply?

Thank you for your help, so far i understand everything but in order to turn 486√3 into 841, what did you multiply?

I guess it's too complex to turn 486√3 into 841 without a Calculator? Atleast that's what people are telling me
