Hello, Tash!

A man has land in a triangle shape, with the 2 sides 112m long each and the bottom 95m.
He sells the land at 55 pence per square metre.
How much does he get for the land?

We must find the area of the triangle, right?

Code:
              *
/|\
/ | \
/  |  \
112 /   |   \ 112
/    |h   \
/     |     \
/      |      \
*-------*-------*
:  47.5 :  47.5 :
Pythagorus says: . $h^2 + 47.5^2 \:=\:112^2$

Hence: . $h \:=\:\sqrt{112^2 - 47.5^2} \:=\:\sqrt{10,\!287.75} \;\approx\;101.43$

You know the base and height of the triangle.
. . You can find the area of the triangle.

Then you can find the value of the land.
