# rhombus and kite

rhombus and kite
I got this question in my mid-term exams a couple days ago.
"A quadrilateral with 2 pairs of adjacent sides equal is said to be a ?"

I wrote kite but I think its wrong,maybe rhombus.
if my answer is indeed wrong as I think it is,then please explain.

A badly worded question I think.

If the wording is intended to say that all four sides are equal, then the answer will be a rhombus.
If however the two pairs have a side in common so that three sides are the same length, then the fourth is not defined, and then answer would be a quadrilateral.
Also, if one pair of sides is of a different length to the other pair, again the answer will be a quadrilateral.

kite
rhombus.

The correct answer to this question would have been: square or kite or rhombus.

Sides with equal length are drawn in the same colour.

I completely agree with you. I do not agree with any of the other replies.
To me the key words are 2 pairs of adjacent sides .
Only the KITE is the most general figure that fits that requirement.
