    Find the shortest distance between the points (2,1,3) and (0,-4,7).

    Just to clarify for future problems the distance formula in three dimensions is:

    \sqrt{(x_{2}-x_{1})^{2} + (y_{2}-y_{1})^{2} + (z_{2}-z_{1})^{2}}
