    Quadrilateral segment length problem

    In the attached image is the shape.
    In the figure, segment BD is parallel to segment AE. If the length of segment CE is 3, what is the length of segment AC?
    I am thinking that angle CDE is equal to CEA, but I'm not sure

    Hello, rasen58!

    In the figure, segment BD is parallel to segment AE.

    I see that \angle BCA and \angle DCE are both labeled x.
    Are they supposed to be equal?
