Hey!

I have this problem: In triangle $ABC$, $|AC|$ is $9$, $|BC|$ is $7$. Point $M$ is the midpoint of $|AB|$, and $|CM|$ is also $7$. What is the length of $|AB|$

The only way to solve the problem, that I can think of is using the cosine rule, but it is said that the problem could be solved without using trigonometry. Can anyone give me an idea how?

There's an easy solution using Stewart's theorem, but that's about all I see.
