Find the area of region bounded by two equations
Find the area of the region bounded by curve $9x^2 + 25y^2 = 225$ and outside the circle $x^2+y^2 =9$

Can someone pls explain how to solve this? Thanks in advance.

The area of an ellipse is \displaystyle \begin{align*} \pi \, a \, b \end{align*}, and the area of a circle is \displaystyle \begin{align*} \pi \, r^2 \end{align*}.

Can you recognise what the values of a and b are from the equation of your ellipse? Can you recognise what the radius is from the equation of your circle?
