    Smile from parametric to cartesian for ellipse pedal curve

    Hello!For a pedal of the ellipse i found the parametric and the corresponding Cartesian equation (see annex).Who knows a algebric method not too complicated to go from the parametric to cartesian?To me at a certain point I must solve a quartic equations in cos(t)!. Help me, please!
