By the definition of a perpendicular line, the angles are all 90 degrees. They are all corresponding angles, and by the corresponding angles postulate, line C is parallel to line D.

It's been a year since I did Geometry. I'm not sure if this would be the correct way to word it, but use the perpendiculars to prove that C and D are transversals of lines A and B, hereby using the Corresponding Angles Postulate. Then, by the converse, C and D are parallel. - Mar 30th 2012, 08:16 AMHallsofIvyRe: One of those paragraph proofs....
You have posted at least two problems without showing any attempt of your own. You can't expect others to do your homework for you. You won't learn very much from that.

Thank you!

Yes, indeed I have done this work by myself. These were the two problems that I couldn't figure out. I needed someone's help to show me how to do it...so I can learn.
