How to describe/model triangle undergoing transformations over time?

Hi everyone, I wonder if anyone could help me with this:

Imagine you have a triangular shape whose shape would change over time, e.g. base gets shorter and height gets bigger, in a non-linear fashion (probably gets exponentially shorter/bigger, or follows some other function other than an exponential). Is there anyway to find a model or to describe this sort of behaviour?

I've stumbled upon geometry and transformations, which seem to be able to deal with this. I'm not a mathematician nor anything close to that, so this might be a really dumb question (or in the wrong section of the forum). Anyway, any help would be extremely appreciated!

Hi, I would express each point of the triangle as as an (x,y) coordinate, then express each ordinate of each point as the desired function of time, i.e. x(t) or y(t), so that each coordinate is 'parameterised' by time. Then you can express things like internal or external angles, or triangle area based on the location of the the coordinates using things like the sine rule and the cosine rule. Is that any clearer? what are you trying to do exactly?
