For #2, that uses the external angle theorem: The measure of an external angle of a triangle equals to the sum of the measures of the two opposite interior angles. So is part a) $101^o-62^o$ is the measure of the other opposite interior angle.

You have to know some basic properties about triangles. For example 2a) do you recognize a straight angle? This angle is divided in two angles and one of them is 101° so the other is ... . If you know this then you can determine the other angle.

It's difficult to explain because I can't indicate the angles on the screen. But what I mean is the following. You see an angle of 101°, the side angle is 79° (this is one of the angles of the triangle) because the angle of 101° and 79° form a straight angle which is 180°. Now you have two angles of the triangle and so you can determine the other which is 180°-(79°+62°).

Is this clear? ...

Dear Jashuafalls Jr and Sr,
Responders cannot break Forum Rules. If you Google Triangles you can find all the info you need. For 2c the two triangles are congruent.Look up meaning of symmetry
