1. ## 4x4x4 Cube

Today was our Math Wizard and there was this one question I was having a doubt about, I think I'm correct but I want to assure my answer. So here goes the question-

There is a cube of which all faces are painted such that no adjacent faces are of the same color. The cube is then cut into 64 smaller cubes. How many small cubes are there, who only have 2 faces painted
Options-
a)16 b)24 c)12 d)6
I think 24 will be the right answer but still I'm a bit doubtful........

Yes, since 8 cubes at the 8 corners will have 3 sides painted,
the cubes with 2 sides painted will be the 2 centre cubes on each
of the 12 edges.
