Problem:

The ratio of similitude of two similar triangles is 3:5 . What is the ratio of their areas? please help me

thank you so much

God Bless

rcs\approx

2. $3^2:5^2$

Guess how it goes if you are talking volume and the linear ratio is 3:5!

3. how is it so sir? would be ok if the answer 27:125 and 6:10? why is it we have to square only the 3 and 5? can u let me understand it sir please?

thanks

4. The three and the 5 were the only numbers we were given- that's why we "square only the 3 and 5"!

The area of any plane figure involves multiplying together two lengths- that's why the ratio between lengths is squared.

The volume of any solid figure involves multiplying together three lengths so to find the ratio of volumes when we are given a ratio of lengths, we cube.

5. ahh i see it.. thanks a lot sir..
