    Problem converting angle to slope and vice versa.

    So I am trying to use the equation on wikipedia:

    slope = 100tan(angle)

    (Slope - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

    But, when I use a calculator for 45 degrees:

    slope = 100tan(45)

    I get that slope = 161.9 but, I believe a 45 degree angle should be 1 in terms of slope. Why is this not giving me the right answer?

    Ok, I'm still having a problem: but I have made a mistake:

    slope = tan(angle) is the correct equation

    But, I still get like 1.6 approx. Is this a calculator error? Because I am working on a game and need can rely on hand calculation...

    Your calculator is in radians and drop the 100 what ever that is.
