# Thread: area and perimeter of parallelogram

1. Hi andyboy179,
Go back to the book to find out how to calculate distance between two points.

bjh

2. Ok, would I do $\sqrt{(8- 2)^2+ (9- 1)^2}$ and $\sqrt{(6- 2)^2+ (1-1)^2}$
=70 and 4

3. Hi andyboy179,
I don't know what you are thinking with the second function but the first is OK.Recalculate its sqrt.

4. Hi what do you mean recalculate it's square root, what is wrong with the first part??

5. Sorry, would it be 70 and 16

6. Its 10 which is the length of two sides of the parallelogram

bjh

7. Can I ask how you came to that conclusion?

8. So if it is 10 the Area would be 4x10=40 and perimeter 4+4+10+10=28???
