    Intersecting Circles

    The intersecting circles
    x^2 + y^2 = 100 and (x−21)^2 + y^2 = 289 have a common chord. Find its length.

    Substract the first equation from the other and you will get the equation of the common chord. Solve the system of equations of the chord and one circle and find the distance between the two points.
