If we increase in 30% the side of a square, how much would its area increase? The answer is 69%, but I have absolutely no idea about how to do that, therefore I can't post a try

Suppose the length of each side of the square is x unit. Then what will be its length after increased by 30%? Also, what is the formula for the area of the square?
(30%)/4 ? The formula is side x side, but we are changing one of the sides so I'm confused with that as well
Hi lucas7, A square of side lenght 1 is increased to a side lenght 1.3 ( all four sides). What is the new area? bjh
