I'm having trouble solving this problem. I've been trying for hours but still have not come up with the solution. I'd really appreciate it if someone could give me a hand. Thanks in advance.

Is the angle at a suppose to be a central angle, the vertex at the center?

In that case the measure of angle a is twice that of b.

May I suggest you get an Helix-Oxford geometry set; about 5 bucks...
It'll help you solve many similar problems.
