    I need to find diameter of a given section of a sphere

    I have a sphere with a diameter of 250mm I need to find the diameter of a section 30mm from the centre. Sorry the math is beyond me

    Through the Pythagorean theorem the radius of the circular section is R = \sqrt{125^2-30^2}
    The section is \pi R^2 = \pi (125^2-30^2)
