    Skills and Applications

    Write an equation of the line that passes through point P and is parallel to the line with the given equation.?

    Use slope-intercept form.

    7. (0,p); y = 3x - 4

    8. (c,d); y = 4x - 5

    9. (3, -5); 6x - y = 21

    10. (-10,4); 2x + y = W

    11. (1,4); Ax + By = C

    12. (b,4d); x - ty = s

    Here's how to generally solve them;

    Parallel means that they have the same slope. So, in 7, the slope will be 3. If you use y=mx+b, then it would be y=3x + p
