    measures of the angles

    Can anybody help me on the this problem please

    Use a single variable:
    the sum of the measures of an acute angle and an obtuse angle is 140. the sum of twice the supplement of the obtuse angle and three times the complement of the acute angle is 340. What are the measures of the angles?

    is this correct if i let
    x be the acute angle,
    (90 + x) be the obtuse angle

    then x + ( 90 + x ) = 140
    2x + 90 = 140
    2x = 140 - 90
    2x = 50
    x = 25

    the sum of twice the supplement of the obtuse angle and three times the complement of the acute angle is 340?

    i'm stuck here i dont know how to connect in the solution above.
    Please help

    2(180-[140-x])+3(90-x)=340
    Try that.
