    apothem

    the radius of a circle is 1000 inches. find the apotherm of a regular pentagon inscribed in the circle

    The apothem is the red line. The radius of the circle is the blue line. What is the angle between them? Can you use some simple trigonometry in the red-blue-black triangle to find the connection between the apothem and the radius?
